I have been using Pitaka Accessories (Desktop chargers and case) for the past 3 years with my iPhone 11 Pro with no issues. These are the chargers I have (https://www.ipitaka.com/products/magez-mount-qi-desktop).

Last month I traded in my iPhone 11 Pro for the iPhone 14 Pro and ordered a new Pitaka MagEZ Case Pro 3 for iPhone 14 which arrived today.

I installed the new case and it just slides right off the charger? I then removed the case and even the case magnets are too weak to support the weight of the case on the charger. I still have my old iPhone 11 case and the magnets are so strong, it "jumps' onto the charger from 1/4" away and it is 3 years old!

I then tried attaching the iPhone 14 by itself (no case) to the charger and it just slides off. If I tilt the charger to where the surface is horizontal the phone starts charging, but there is barely any magnetic attraction (not a problem with my old iPhone 11 Pro).

So apparently BOTH the iPhone 14 Pro AND the new Pitaka cases have weak magnets? If I take a standalone magnet and run it over the empty cases it acts like there are maybe two magnets at the base of the circle in the iPhone 14 case whereas the iPhone 11 case acts like it has one stronger bar magnet all the way across the bottom of the circle.

Has anyone noticed that the iPhone 14 Pro will not stay attached to a charger that is almost vertical?

Based on the infos from the pitaka website, the charger you linked to is only MagEZ compatible, not Magsafe. So the phone without a case will not hold on the charger.
The MagEZ Case Pro 3 is listed as compatible with MagSafe & PitaFlow, so it will also not work with your MagEZ charger...

Hmmm... then why do they name it "MagEZ" Case?

I don´t know, you should ask pitaka about this.
For magsafe the magnets in the 14 and 14 pro series are stronger than on the 12 and 13 series, therefore any magsafe connection is stronger with the new devices.

I used to use Pitaka cases and chargers specifically for their magnets. My understanding is that the magnetic array they used previous to the release of magsafe compatible products may have been in a different arrangement / different polarity than the ones used in magsafe.

Try putting your phone onto an actual magsafe charger (minus the pitaka case) and see how it holds to determine if it is the magnets in your phone, or your existing accessories.

For reference. I taped an apple magsafe puck to my dashboard in my car...vertically, and my iPhone 12 pro max w/ apple leather magsafe case has never shifted or fallen off while driving.

I just talked to Pitaka. They said the newer iPhones use something called MagSafe2 and are not compatible with the previous MagSafe Q1 Chargers. So they said I will need to buy their new chargers which actually have an auxiliary battery that charges and in turn that battery magnetically attaches to the back of the phone to hold it in place - more expensive solution that what I had before, but at least I know the root cause of my problem now. She said Apple changed the magnet array after the iPhone 11.

I have noticed that my iP14PM magnet is not as strong as the iP13PM and the iP12PM. I had the 12 and 13 prior to the new 14. I have not had anything bad happen - yet. But, I am more conscious of my handling of the device.

I just a detachable wallet case. The phone pulls out of it with almost no effort. The 13 and 12 took more effort to removed from the case.

So, yeah, I feel the iP14PM magnet is not as strong.

I used MagSafe mounted to dash. The mini very rarely fell off, but the 14Pro is a chunk! It comes off easily. I think if it slides even slightly the camera bump “bumps” it off!

I have a generic MagSafe compatible charger in my car, and I haven’t noticed any difference between the 14 Pro and the 12 and 13 Pros.

I have had my phone fall off twice ever, going over a ridiculously egregious bump each time.

The magnet on my 14 PM is nice strong. It’s hold tight on my MagSafe car charger and my charging stand. I use the Apple leather MagSafe case. No complaints.
It seems better than my 12 PM.

From my observation the magnets in my 14 Pro Max are actually stronger then my previous iPhones. I’ve had no issues attaching it to my Belkin Boost 3 in 1 charger with my ESR MagSafe case or without.

There was no magnet array on the iphone 11 or earlier. The magnets were added with the iphone 12 series and the introduction of magsafe.
