So about half a year ago I had an incident where my brother spilled water on my closed Macbook, it didn't charge so I thought it was broken.
A friend of mine who works at an Apple retalier took it to the shop and they checked it, it was fine (sturdy little bugger). Turns out the Magsafe got damaged somehow, cause it was perfectly fine the night before. For some time I have used a spare charger my friend has, but I figure I should get it back to him, so I need to get myself a new one or fix the one I have, if possible.

When I connect the Magsafe to the wall with the long cord, it does nothing. If I plug it in with the short plug, it starts flickering when connected to the Macbook. The Magsafe itself has a patched cable, but I doubt that bit is the issue. The rubber near the L is chipping off, so maybe the cords broken there?

Any suggestions why it could be broken and how I could fix it are welcome :)
