MagSafe not working, other MagSafes do..

My magsafe is no longer charging my MBP and the LED light never comes on. I left it plugged into the main, unconnected from the laptop, for a few hours and when I returned the brick was next to a pillow, quite warm (but has been hotter).

Anyway now it won't work at all. My fathers magsafe works in my laptop so it's not an issue with my MBP. Any ideas?

We have a lot of MacBooks here at work and occasionally I see these go out. If you are still covered under AppleCare stop by an Apple Store and they will swap it out on the spot for free.
