Magsafe only works when it feels like it.

My week old MBP's magsafe only works about 25% of time.

And if I can get it to work it will only work for a while and then it will just stop. no light no nothing. Could it just be a problem with the magsafe or is there a problem with the MBP. This is really ****ing annoying.

Also if there is a problem is it covered by the limited warranty. I didn't get apple care.

No, the standard warranty is 1 year. Phone support is 90 days.

I would highly recommend taking the computer back to the store or call Apple for a replacement of the power adaptor or the computer if necessary.

Apple should sort the problem out for you as you are covered by warranty.
