So I'm looking at getting a new wireless charging pad as my anker has finally started to show signs of failure. The MagSafe looks a good option as it's always located correctly, the one thing I dislike about charging pads is waking up to find it got bumped in the middle of the night and have a half charged iPhone.

So reviews are all saying it heats up the iPhone using the 20w adapters, anyone who bought about purposefully using a low wattage adapter to avoid the faster charging rates/ heat. I can't seem to find many low wattage usb c charging adapters these days, they are all 20w plus, plenty of usb a low watt adapters but I need the usb c outlet for the MagSafe puck right?

I know I could just stick with another regular qi pad but I want the magnetic connection with the MagSafe, but without the heat problems.

Will it work with using an adapter to USB-A and then plugged to e.g a car USB-A port? I’m not looking to get full charging capacity?
