Do I need to unplug the AC cord from the outlet after it's done charging or can i leave it there and just connect the MagSafe to my MacBook when i need to charge it?

I never disconnected mine. The tree-huggers would say unplug it, as there'll be a little power used when nothing's connected.
Considering the global warming and other natural changes, I would want to contribute in the slightest way possible. It doesn't take much time to just take the plug off or switch if off.
That's just my 2 cents..

Because if everyone was us start doing this, the cumulative effect will be huge power saving. Small efforts go a long way..
There was also some study about routers always on in the UK. I mean if people had connected when not in use. There would have been huge savings in electricity..
