I found a way to improve apples terrible strain relief on the L shaped magsafe adapters. I figured out that you can stretch heat shrink tube using a pair of needle nose pliers. The shrink tube I used is white colored 1/4 inch that shrinks down to 1/8 when heated. Using the needle nose pliers to stretch it, it will just barely fit over the L shaped magsafe end allowing you to slide it down onto the cord and original strain reliefs. To stretch the tube put it over the jaws of the pliers and pull the handles so the the jaws open. Stretch it a little bit then rotate the tubing 90° and stretch it a little more, flip to the other unstretched side of the tube and do the same thing. Do not stretch it to far or to rapidly or the tubing will snap and you will have to start over with a new piece. Keep doing that until it will completely fit over the magsafe end. Once it's on and in place you can just shrink it with heat like normal. I don't think this will keep the cable jacket from eventually breaking but at least it won't happen right at the ends where it's impossible to fix anymore.
