So Apple said it was Qi standard... but I guess. It seems to charge at like 2-3W. So don’t buy it thinking you will get 7.5W on your older iPhones.

If I get a iPhone 12 I probably won’t use Mag Safe. I have a few charging disk and I stopped using those. I find it more convenient to use a a lighting cable. If I have to use my Phone while it’s charging I can instead of taking it off the disk.

I mean this seems like kind of an obvious thing to me, why would anyone want to try and use MagSafe with a non MagSafe phone? It’s already heard enough on some chargers to get it lined up why would you try and use an even smaller target that’s designed for a specific phone?

Because sometimes people have multiple phones per household and not all of them have the latest and greatest? Any number of other valid reasons? Also, and most importantly, it's advertised as Qi-compatible and Apple list all of their iPhones since the 8 as working with it.

If they said "works with iPhone 12 only" then I don't think people would care because they would know what they are buying
