Hello ,
For best battery life, apart from charging at 80%, is it better to charge via an AC adapter or MagSafe?
Is it better to charge it via a mains adapter or MagSafe?
Thanks for your answers

Either way you’re using an AC adapter.

If you’re comparing directly plugging in vs inductive MagSafe charging I would say directly plugging in has a slight advantage. Inductive charging creates some additional heat and heat is the enemy of batteries. I doubt it’s as bad as charging your phone in direct sunlight in a car but it’s going to have some effect.

The way I look at it is a battery replacement costs $119 even on the new models so for me it’s not worth jumping through hoops for that. I do whatever is more convenient

I'm sorry for the way I phrased it, but I meant direct charging via the USB C cable.
Thanks for your comment

I use MagSafe on my nightstand and in my car. My phone has been charged via cable perhaps a dozen times over the last 4 years (iPhone 12 Pro). It's still at 84% battery and working fine.

Charge it the most convenient way to charge it - don't worry about what's "Best."
