MagSafe with 30W Apple Charging Brick?

So far, based on all the reviews, I’ve held off on buying the MagSafe charger. I don‘t have a 20W Apple brick in the house, but I do have a 30W. Curious if anyone has had decent charging speeds (well decent for MagSafe) with a 30W brick?? I can’t justify buying the charger and then spending the extra 19 on a brick. I refuse to give Apple another 19 bux, would rather buy a movie or something.
