Just wondering, has anyone ever heard of an adapter that can combine both the MagSafe 2 connector, and the TB connector on the OG TB display's 2-tailed cable, into a single powered TB3/Type-C connection?

I'm connecting up a final generation Intel macBook Air via a Brydge vertical dock, and from the looks of things, one port on the computer will need to be power, one will need to be the TB display, so that leaves no spares (aside from stuff plugged into the older formats on the display), unless I plug the display into a TB dock, I suppose?

I think using a dock in between the laptop and the TB Display is going to be the best bet for getting power and TB over a single cable.

Yeah, I was suspecting that, given Apple never licenced the Magsafe format to anyone else. Well if anything needs to be plugged in that needs more bandwidth than the TB display's ports, I'll look into it (and try to ignore the unconnected Magsafe connector sitting there).

Cheers.
