Mail 5 (latest) and Gmail - Wont send email

In Mail 5 I am unable to send an email from my Gmail configured account. It doesn't matter if it is a new, or reply, forward email when I hit send all that happens is the icon next "Sent" under "Mailboxes" just keeps spinning round.

Any ideas?

It could very well be a bug, and Mail has set up your account wrongly. Try setting it up manually: https://mail.google.com/support/bin/answer.py?answer=78799

Presuming of course, that you haven't changed your SMTP settings or anything like that!

Yeah it was the SMTP settings, it was some how set to my account name i.e email adress, changed it to SMTP @ My Gmail details and mail now sends fine.
