nobody is answering in the other thread so i figured i'd make a new one in the right forum

I have a gmail account and I want to get Mail to get these emails so I can get both my .mac and gmail emails in one app. How do i do this? I have gone to preferences and to add an account. But do I choose "POP" "IMAP" or "Exchange"? Also, what is the "incoming mail server"?

Take a look at the "configuration instructions" underneath the "Pop and Forwarding" section in your gmail account settings. It will tell you exactly what to do.

ok but I still need to know what the "incoming mail server" is...the example that it shows is "mail.earthlink.net"

I tried putting in mail.google.com (which is what it says in the address box when i go to gmail) but it isn't working...
