Just migrated from Entourage to Mail, Address Book and iCal. I like the abiility to share the calendar on-line and it just makes sense to use Apple applications on a Mac.

Anyway - Address Book seems to be really slow. When editing a contact or searching for a name, it takes about 5-6 seconds to find the name (800 entries). When I type new information the screen is about 3 seconds behind my keystrokes.

I've repaired permissions, am running 10.3.7 and have plenty of RAM.

Any ideas?

That is not normal, I find them all really fast. What computer are you using? Is your hard drive getting full? Something is wrong, just have to figure out what.

It's a G4 Powerbook, 1.33, 756mb RAM and the drive is maybe a 10th full.
I've repaired permissions, run a disk utility. Restarted more times in the last couple of days than I have in the past 6 months - nothing speeds it up.
