Mail and Gmail Help?

I used the directions provided and did a search here. I would like to use Mail and my Gmail account together I set it up but it would not connect and retrieve my messages. Yes I have turned on POP in Gmail

I have mail setup with Gmail and it works great!

I don't know about the original poster, but I have Mail 2.1.1, and gmail's instructions don't work (outdated maybe?) the menus are just different enough that the gmail help doesn't work.

MAIL Version 2.1.1 (752.3) (I think that is the latest)


Got all your settings correct?

pop.gmail.com
smtp.gmail.com

got your full username including "gmail" (user@gmail.com)

Password correct?

All the correct ports?
