Is it just me or does Mail constantly crash in 1.1.2? Is there an update to the Mail app for 1.1.2?

Yup. It crashes.

It's part of the 1.1.2 for the iPhone. Now the problem is getting it.

Wow I am impressed. It turns out the decryption key for the v1.1.2 iPhone firmware is available.

Well the 1.1.2 firmware for iPhone is already unlocked so if someone can just copy it (I'm assuming that's all it needs), that'd be great.

After going through a lengthy install process I found out it doesn't work. Well, at least google maps still works (those are the only iPhone apps I installed on my IPT).

Same here, all the other native iPhone apps work fine on 1.1.2, just Mail is crashing. Mail was the app that I used most too.

shoot i was about to"upgrade" my ipod but now that mail isnt working im not

thanks a lot in advance guys

Getting Mail.app (and all the other iPhone specific apps) from the 1.1.2 iPhone firmware results in a fully working system.

I'm happy!

Im starting to doubt people actually have it

Well apparently some people have actually extracted them from the iPhone firmware themselves, but it doesn't seem to be an easy process (at least, not for the uninitiated). And no one is sharing yet.

1. Get the firmware as a download from apple.
2. get vfdecrypt
3. extract the root .dmg

have fun:

It's there - took me all of 30 seconds to get the pieces together. I just can't link to anything 'cause I don't want to be banned.

that mail app 1.1.2 if i put it on a jail broken 1.1.1 wha thappens i want a better mail app i can never hook it up to yahoo

Even with the 1.1.2 apps, they all crash on me. Am I missing something? I've got the jailbreak done, and things like stumbler and NES working fine. I just can't get Mail or any other app working.

I copied over the .app, the framework and the preference bundle.

Any ideas?

just to stop me making any mistakes, do all the files in that package go into the applications folder or is it somewhere else?

thanks
