Mail.app alternating color (New to Mac and Mac Forums

Hello,
Is there a way to alternate colors between Rows in mail app? THe message list, I have been searching but the hacks i found don't seem to work on the 6.3 version of the Mail.app.
Widemail had the option but is no longer available for Mountain Lion. Its a small thing but it is driving me bananas.
