Hi, I am having trouble with my Mail app in that every time I launch it, it starts "Synchronizing with server"which is a process that seems to be synchronizing my Sent mail.
Anyway, Mail does this every time I launch Mail.
If I let the process continue to completion as I did yesterday
(which took a while as there were over 9000 messages to "synchronize"),
it will just do it all over again the next time I launch Mail.
I just updated to Lion and had hoped that the new version might solve this problem, but it still remains.
Can someone tell me how to reset my Mail app?
What I want to do is, I guess, "start over"
(but without losing all of my mail and attachments).
Can I just export all of my Mail,
delete my Mail.app account settings,
relaunch (a thus virgin Mail app),
import my export file,
and then point the Mail app at my two GMail addresses?
This seems like it would work, but I wasn't sure if things like documents/photos attached to emails were included in any export file/database.
Any ideas?
