Mail.app and attachments

i have a gmail account set up with the mac mail app and i was just wondering if its normal that it takes a really long time to send emails with attachments of significant size (over 3 mbts). anybody else notice this? maybe i havent set it up properly.

It is works, then it is setup properly. Your upload spead is a function of your SMTP server and your network connection.
