I've always manually set up Gmail by filling in my details over the automated "tap Google" approach. mainly just because i wanna know everything tends to go more smoothly as least you know YOUR at fault when you make a mistake..

However, what is the difference in doing in manually by going in "Other" and just tapping on "Google" ? Is the 'tap and go' somehow linked to this: ?

I'l like to think so, but i can't imagine what else it would be, because whichever way you set it up, its still the same connection being made. The only thing visually i see, its less stuff to enter

In my Google account, i have "Less secure app" "ON", but i have Gmail on Apple mail no problem and can connect fine using same password..

But on iOS13... all details are entered correctly.. I hit "Next" but nothing, no error messages at all, so i'm what I could be doing wrong..

if it was wrong credentials it will tell me.

Also i have 3 strange mail providers ? Anyone else have this? Looks like Chinese-
