MBA 2017, MacOS 10.14.6, The mail app will lost connection after long sleep. only iCloud IMAP can be connected. SMTP no problem. all other IMAP or POP will show" username or password not correct, need re input..."
I have to shutdown app and reopen it. Mail will work as normal.
