So I just downloaded all of the iphone apps successfully, except for Mail. When I try to log in, it says that its incorrect. I tried a few times very carefully, even with two email addresses. I don't know what's the problem. Some help please?

Did you remember to install the Mail Prep package? And what email server are you using (MSN/Hotmail/gmail/etc)? Are you using IMAP or POP? Did you enable IMAP/POP in your email account?

Little more info would be helpful

Sorry I'm on my touch and its harder to type... What's IMAP and POP? I'm using Yahoo and I installed the mail prep.

I can't get mail to work either. I installed the mail prep and everything. Hmmm...EDIT: I'm trying to get yahoo to work too. No luck!

You probably have to enable POP in your Yahoo account somewhere. I don't use Yahoo so I'm not entirely sure. There might be a iphone FAQ on the Yahoo Mail website somewhere.

EDIT: According to the website, you need Yahoo! Mail Plus to get POP email.

If this is so...how come iPhone users don't need Yahoo Mail plus?

because apple has a special deal with yahoo about the iphone. The iPhone users have access to Push Mail from Yahoo, but there is no deal on the iPod touch, so you have to pay to get push mail.

Ok, this might sound weird..

mail didn't work on mail.app from jailbreaking. So, I ponied up 20 bucks to apple for the apps, and voila! the 'official' mail app works like a charm. WTF?
