Help,
I know very little about servers. mail app. is set up with imap for use with my website server - i also use SquirrelMail version 1.4.4 for webmail. The mail app. works perfectly on a wireless network, but when i'm connected via ethernet to my home network, mail will receive messages, but when i try to send, i get this error:

The connection to the server “server1.slacktopia.org” on port 25 timed out.

I've never noticed anything else wrong with this network, and i didn't set it up. I just plug in the cable and it works immediately without a password or anything.
Please help!

Thanks:)

If your ISP blocks port 25

My ISP blocks port 25. Since my hosting provider (which I use for email) allows an SSL (which uses port 465), I use the secure connection. This makes me feel safer anyway since the connection is encrypted.
