Mail.app in OS X has an option to check for emails shortest for every minute. Is there a tweak, app or something that enables the mail.app to fetch email like you can do it with Google options for iPhone? I have a Gmail and I set up my iPhone through Google settings to fetch mail, can I do that for my Mac?

For IMAP accounts, the option "Use IDLE command if server supports it" is enabled. You can almost get emails immediately once reach your server. That's the same as on IPhone/IPad.

Wirelessly posted (iPhone 4: Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_3_5 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/533.17.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/5.0.2 Mobile/8L1 Safari/6533.18.5)
