Hi.

Someone sent an email to me today and i was able to read it fine. However when I went to reply to it, I got the spinning 'beach ball' and my mail.app began to hang. I waited a few minutes and thought it best to force quit. I then opened Mail again and it just hung straight away with that email in the preview pane. The thing I did notice though was that the unread count in one of the smart mailboxes was 1, however, there were no emails that were actually unread (I assume it was counting the email that was sent which hung it in the first place as this email belonged in that smart mailbox). I again had to force quit after a few minutes of waiting (and of my memory getting eaten up). I am using Snow Leopard and have the latest update, 10.6.2, and I have also tried opening in 32 bit-mode. If it helps, I am using an early 2008 MBP, although this seems like its a software issue. Also, the email it self was rather long in length as it was quite a large thread (around 30 emails back and forth) but the size wasn't more than a couple hundred kilobytes.

I'd love for someone to help me with this. And if anyone needs any more details, just ask.

Thanks in advance for any help.
