Hi there,
I’m kinda struggling with Mail app, I made a folder called “newsletter” for the newsletter emails I am getting but I can’t figure out how to make it so that emails from specific addresses go into this folder and not into my inbox.. I always have to put them there manually. Is there a way to make this work on iOS?

No unfortunately not. The mail app doesn’t support rules. You could possibly achieve it by logging on to your webmail and create rules there…?

To expand on the answer from @StumpyBloke, depending on the email account, and the way you may access your email besides on the iPhone and which of those ways support rules, you could create the rule(s) on one of those other applications or devices. For example, I do this for Outlook and Proton in a browser. The rules are executed on the respective servers and the mail app on the iPhone downloads the emails already sorted into the respective folders. For iCloud email, I create rules on my MacBook Air. What you are able to do depends on your options.

Thank you.
Do you know of any mail services that support rules while using a mobile app or website in a mobile browser?

I am not familiar with any other mail apps for iOS, but I haven't looked.

BTW to me the email service is the provider, such as Google, Yahoo, Microsoft, Proton ... your ISP, etc. There are multiple ways you might access your email besides the stock email application, such as on the web as @StumpyBloke mentioned, or the provider's app on your device (such as Yahoo or Proton, for example). That is, I distinguish between the email provider and the application or app used to send and receive emails.

I think you need to distinguish between the mail service (e.g., gmail, outlook.com, proton, fastmail) and the app/browser used to access that email (e.g., the Outlook app, Apple Mail app)

Many mail services allow you to set rules, but other than Outlook Exchange, which is usually a business product, to my knowledge all require use of the browser interface to set the rules. (I"m sure there are some other corporate products that do the same).

Once you've set the rules via a browser, you can use any app and the rules will be applied at the mail server end.

OK thank you, I get it now.
I’ll just group the newsletters manually then

Another thing you might be able to do is set up a different email address for the newsletters. That may make it easier to sort. E.g. Instead of JohnRckr@gmail.com use JohnRckr+news@gmail.com. Then you can set up one filter on gmail that has everything with "+news" go into that folder.

If you're not using gmail, many other email providers support plus addressing as well. Just check their faqs.

Not quite what OP wants, but you might turn on Categories.

Gmail has a similar function. Believe Yahoo! as well. And to ditto what others have mentioned, can change the email address for the newsletters to iCloud address and setup mail filters on iCloud.com. And Gmail, Yahoo, etc built in mail filtering on their websites/settings.

I’ve always used 3rd party clients , but am giving Apple Mail a go to see if it finally meets my needs. This may be new with 18.4 beta, but it’s possible set up rules.

They added support for managing iCloud Mail server rules in iOS 17, but I don’t think there’s any official documentation about it. Nor is it available on Mac, where you instead have local rules or have to use the website for server rules.
