Mail app. keeps on crashing on me...

Sometime after I got my new thumbdrive (Apacer HT202), I've had incidents where the Finder app. just freezes. I've had to force shutdown my iBook several times. I've reformatted the thumbdrive so it's a clean slate now. But somehow, I'm having problems with my Mail app. this time. When I open it up, when it is opening the mailbox, I get an pop-up telling me Mail has unexpectedly quit etc...

Anyone can tell me what's the problem?

Can anyone shed some light on the situation? Should I run software recovery?

hmmmm...

i've tried repairing the permissions but alas the problem still remains....

it opens up fine and when i click Get Mail it does fetch my mail...its when i click on the In mailbox and it access the Mailbox that it just "unexpectedly quits" on me....

it's rather frustrating....

maybe i should wait for the next software update coz i just cant think of anything else....i tried Software recovery as well...but somehow i cant do that as well since it has an error in copying the files....

i'm really preplexed since this has to be the first time of ever using a mac that i've had to force quit and force shutdown my ibook several times in the whole week.....
