I’ve been in the Apple ecosystem for years with an icloud.com email address and using stock Mail.app on both my iPhone and Watch.
Ever since WatchOS 9.0 was released, I’m experiencing an issue with only the Watch changing the setting to Trash email, instead of my preferred setting to Archive them. I upgraded to WatchOS 9.2 RC a few days ago and still seeing the same issue.
I’ll go into my iPhone settings and change the Mail ”move discarded messages into” setting from Deleted and then back to Archive. This will properly show Archive on my Watch but then a few days later the Watch goes back to Trash/Delete option.
I’ve had to do this over and over since WatchOS 9.0 and wondering if anyone else is experiencing this with their preferred setting to Archive emails.
