"Mail" app killing my battery?

I don't use email a ton, much less than the other apps listed at the top of my usage chart. I closed the app via the switcher last night and it's still at the top with 19%. I killed the app last night and woke up and it had more usage even after not touching my phone for 8 hours. Background app refresh is completely off

Anyone know why? I have push off and fetch set to every 30 mins. I deleted my Gmail account through Mail last night as I'm switching back to Mailbox. I probably just have to wait another day or so for the usage statistics to change.

You don't use it at all and it's still doing it?

I use it but very little, it should be way down in my usage. Anyways I restored my phone Bach to iOS 8 after the bad firmware came out and all is well. Switched back to Mailbox too

You set them to push constantly? I dont..i set them to push manually.

Exactly. manual is the only way to go.
