Mail.app Not Showing Attachments

An email sent to me contains an attachment but when viewed in the Mail app the attachment does not appear. What's bizarre is that in the iOS Mail app the attachment is visible!

EDIT: I solved the problem by deleting my account then re-adding it. Hopefully this won't reoccur...
