Hello,

my father has a MacBook Air and he decided to install OS X 10.9 GM. Everything worked well, but now he called me that he has problems with the Maill app. He says he can't open mails and something like he can't see previews of mails. I am not OS X user, so I can't help him. Is there anything to fix it besides reinstalling? I would be really glad for your help.

He can try deleting his account from Mail and then adding it again. Sometimes that clears up issues. Otherwise, he could go back to a released version of OS X. Mavericks is not released yet.

It didn't work. Is there anything else?

Reinstalling probably (and usually) doesn't make a difference.
It's hard to say without seeing the screen and exactly what the problem is, and how it manifests itself.
It could be that he's just moved the panes of the Mail window about so that you can't see the preview.
It could be something else.

I'm assuming your dad isn't a developer, so he must have got Mavx from a torrent site or some such. This isn't wise, as you have no idea whether it's been altered by bad men.
