I hope someone can help with this.
I seem to be having problems connecting to my employers smtp server when using mail.app (v2.1.1).
Their server is smtp1.xxxx.com login with username and password, ssl and port 587
If I try on Windowz I can send and receive fine, also in Thunderbird all is well so I think it must be problem with mail.app
I can use .mac with ssl on port 25 without a problem, and I can use my regular ISP's SMTP server without issue.
I thought I read somewhere there was a problem that mail.app got its ports wrong but I cannot find that post again...
My questions to you are:
1) Is this a known problem ?
2) If so can I modify my hosts file or something similar to redirect traffic to the correct port before it leaves the system ???
