Thanks! That worked great for the incoming server, but what do I enter for the outgoing server?

smtp.aol.com -- use port 587. It was right there in the guide. You have to turn on authentication and use your username and password. If that doesn't work, you can always use the one from your ISP.

IT WORKED!! thanks so much!

One more problem.... when I try to add a second AOL account it says that I already have a IMAP account. Am I trying to add it the wrong way?

You should be able to add another IMAP account no problem, just go to Preferences->Accounts and click on the + sign

Ya when I do that it comes up with a message that says:

"You already have an 'IMAP account' "

"You already have an 'IMAP account' "

Do you get this message right away, or after the first prompting window? You are definitely allowed to have multiple IMAP accounts. I've never tried setting up two IMAP accounts from the same server, but...

Ahh, wait, I think I know what you're doing wrong.

First, click this:

Then, on this screen...

You may call your IMAP account anything you want... note the names in the left side of the first picture for my IMAP accounts... just make something up. It cannot, however, be the same name as the other ones. This name is for Mail only -- it has nothing to do with your account. Just something you'll recognize that account by. You can use the AOL screenname associated with it, if you wish.

It worked!!! This has been SO helpful.

If you dont mind I have one more question:
is there a way that I can look at each inbox seperetly rather than have them mixed?

Yes, next to the word inbox, you'll see a little arrow. If you click on the arrow, it'll open up the list of all the sub-inboxes. One for each account.

See next post for picture
