mail.app received mail delayed from godaddy

Hello All: new user here, long time viewer.

I have an issue with mail.app receiving mail from a godaddy server (imap.secureserver.net)

When a mail is sent to my address, it is received immediately when i check the web interface for godaddy mail, but mail.app take several seconds (up to a minute) to receive the same message. clicking on 'get mail' does nothing.

any suggestions? mail.app is already set to check for new mail every minute.
