MAIL APP. where are my emails stored/saved?

iam using the MAIL app. for my email.

are the emails that are stored in MAIL, saved on my computer/ using my hard drive to stored them?
if so, where would they be?

also if i delete my account from the MAIL app.
can someone find my old emails or do they get deleted completely?

They are stored in your User folder/Library/Mail.

I think you delete the account they remain there unless you manually delete the account folder under ~/Library/Mail.
