Mail.app won't work with Hotmail?

I was just syncing my Hotmail account with Mail, only it doesn't seem to be working right... I hate a messy inbox so I put everything in folders, but in Mail the folders just disappear. Is there any way to fix this, or should I just give up and use the in-browser version of Hotmail?

(I used Gmail previously and everything went fine. Had to switch to Hotmail because of school.)

Three things:

1. Live/Hotmail works just fine in Mail.
2. Live/Hotmail uses the POP3 protocol with email clients like Mail.
3. You cannot synchronize your webmail client folder structure between your POP3 client and your webmail client.
