mail app wont zoom out fully in portrait mode?

When I read my yahoo mail on my new iphone 5, the horizontal zoom won't show the entire email. I have to scroll horizontally. In landscape it will zoom to the page width but always starts at the same zoom as portrait mode. Anyone know how to fix this?
