Mail application distorting attachments.. whats wrong?

Never had a problem till recently. I take some photos on my iPhone 5 then email them to family. But when I open Mail app and go to sent and click on these emails the images are all chopped, distorted and truncated.

Also when I open emails received from other people in Mail, the attachements like PDFs have errors..

Any ideas whats going on?
