Seems to have started after 5.1.1.

My mail is being pushed randomly when I have it set up so it's manual. I'll be sending a text and feel a vibration only to see that I have new mail....

What's going on? I thought it was a lockinfo problem, but it's still happening randomly even after I removed it. It should be noted it only happens once a day.

I prefer to receive my e mail straightaway.

Try resetting your mail accounts.

I'm not convinced the tweak would cause your issue but hey stranger things have happened. :)

I wonder if it has anything to do with it being a gmail set up through exchange? When I got my phone the Verizon leaflet inside said to do it that way to get my contacts on my iPhone (use to have an android phone).

Will try removing and re adding.

Didn't seem to work. Anyone else have this problem?

Any setting I'm missing?

Hit and Miss for Me

It has been hit and miss for me. For example, Yahoo! mail in the past often would not push sometimes, but today, it seems okay; they might have improved it. iCloud based mail seems good from the beginning. Gmail, however, won't push for me since I added one--even with a network reset.

That's the only way to get gmail pushed. It's not set up through Exchange. It has nothing to do with Exchange. It's set up as if it is an Exchange account, using ActiveSync.
