Mail changes my Address Book entries

In my address book certain entries only have one name (eg. Mum/Dad - they don't need a surname.) However if I send an email to one of these people using Mail, it automatically changes the entry by copying the surname in to the first name space, (so I get an Address Book entry of Mum Mum.)

Does anyone have a solution to this small (but slightly annoying) problem?

Hmmm... I don't manage to replicate this... But what if you just use the first name field in the Address Book for "Mum" and "Dad", in the first place (pun intended)...?

Hi guys, if you are still trying to work this out, you need to clear those names from your 'Recent Recipients' list in Mail.app. I just did it and I (think) it worked... Check out this thread:
