mail changes to unread when I move to a folder

When I receive my e-mails through my enterprise server on my work account, I read them. After doing so I like to file them in specific folders based on content. When i have tried this on my new iPhone 4, the mail becomes listed as unread once it reaches the new folder, when I have clearly just read it.

Is there a setting I'm missing, or is this a glitch?

Thanks in advance for the help.
