Recently purchased an iPod Touch so I switched Apple Mail to IMAP with my Gmail account. I like to have all my mail on my MacBook's local HDD so I selected keep copies of messages for offline viewing and all messages and their attachments from the drop-down list in prefs.
For some reason many of my attachments (mostly pictures) are slightly corrupted. The images are not completely downloaded and have a section of gray near the bottom (attached a sample).
I've read other posts in other forums about corruptions with Apple Mail and Gmail IMAP, but nothing about image corruptions like mine. I'm considering switching from Mail to Thunderbird which I've read behaves better with IMAP. Any ideas or suggestions are very much appreciated!
