Mail customization problem (can't get rid off grey bar)

Basically I wan't to eliminate the following grey bar (I'm marking it with a green arrow in the link below):

I just don't find the option to do so =/ , but it's consuming me valuable visible mail space.


EDIT: Never mind, I was able to fix it by clicking on "File > New Viewer Window"

Hope it helps for further reference.
