Hi,

I have a couple of e-mail accounts on Mail. How do I set a default to be my @mac.com address.

Also, is anyone finding applications such as Excel and Print to open very slowly under Tiger??

Thanks.

Frank

In Mail.app, go to preferences-accounts and drag your .mac account to the top of the list. Restart Mail.app and all should be good.

Duff-Man says.....I am not sure I undertand exactly what you mean by "default" but perhaps what you are looking for is in Mails preferences, in the composing section...there is a choice in there to "send new mail from:" with a dropdown box of choices......is that what you mean?.....oh yeah!

>>drag your .mac account to the top of the list.<<

Did that a few days ago and it hasn't changed anything. Any other thoughts??

Frank

Duff-Man has already given you the solution:

Mail preferences -> Composing -> Send new mail from <drop down menu>

Set the drop down menu to your .mac accont and that should me chosen by default...

Ahh, I misread the first post. I thought I needed to rearrange the e-mail accounts from the accounts menu.
