Mail - deleted addresses pop up as option

I have updated addresses in my address book and deleted the old address.
When I go to compose an email, let's say I type the letter M in the To Field,
I will get a choice of sending to Mary, Manny, Mark etc. but the old addresses for these people will pop up too and then I have to go to my address book to see which is the good address.

Is there a way to delete this old stuff?

Mail > Window > Previous Recipients (remove them from this list)
