Mail ding during sleep focus

I upgraded my MacBook Air M1 to Sonoma today. I’ve also rebooted since upgrading.

My Mac is currently in sleep focus, but is making the ding noise for all incoming emails. That didn’t happen in Ventura.

Any idea how to fix that?
