Mail doesn't open with the current software update

Hi,

I currently have OS X 10.5.8 and decided to install Mail again (as i deleted it).

But when i try to open it it says that you cant use this version of Mail with this version of Mac OS X.

I have tried a software update but it doesn't recognize that i have Mail on the system.

I also have AppFresh and it doesn't recognize it on there too.

Anyone have any ideas how i get round this?
