iPhone Mail download issue?

anyone else noticing that mail does not appear to actually download new mail until the app is opened? Its almost like pre push days and will say ‘checking’ and THEN download. I see no way in settings anymore to change mail check options.

You can do a search of the front page of this forum, and you'll find dozens of threads about it. Not meaning to sound condescending, but this is being discussed at length. Try looking around and you'll get some good info.
