Mail Excel Attachments Render Incorrectly

Apologize if this is incorrect forum. If so, let me know where i should post.

The default mail attachment viewer for Excel does not render correctly. Conditional Formatting would be one example. Is it possible to change the mail attachment default viewer to something like "numbers" ? I do not want to have to save the attachment first and then view it.

I have iphone 8 IOS 11.4.1. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated.
