Hi,

my grandparents or one of their friends accidentally deleted all my grandparent's mails in the inbox-folder.

Idiot(s)!

I want to get them at least all the messages including attachments back, which I sent them.

It seems that the Mail "Save as..." function is broken. It doesn't save the mails as .mbox files.

Great!

Is there a convenient way to export my mails so my grandparents can easily import them to their Mail.app?

Thanks a lot!

If you have them in a folder, literally drag that folder to the Desktop or an open Finder window.

Sorry, what folder do you mean?

EDIT: never mind. created a folder in Mail and dragged all the messages into it. thx.

Okay, that was easy. But is there a way to get these messages into my grandparents' inbox-folder?

cheers

The Import Mailboxes feature in the File menu should suffice. I haven't checked but you may even be able to simply drag and drop the folder into Mail too.

I'm afraid it doesn't do the job.
